Our down and feathers are not derived from live animals. We have committed ourselves to this in the Traceability Codex.
But that's not all: we accompany the purchase of our downs without gaps over all processing stages and can thus always prove the origin of our goods - to protect the animals and enrich the society.
Within the framework of a traceability system, we document the purchase of down and feathers.
Through audits carried out by neutral testing and certification organizations, the company's operational practice is regularly monitored.
Sustainability and Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) have become essential elements of the ARO® corporate management.
These elements at the same time include social, economic and ecological aspects of entrepreneurial activity, thus strategically securing the company's success.
A documentary traceability system demonstrates that the filling material has been obtained according to applicable animal welfare laws.

During processing, only detergents are used which preserve the environment and preserve the naturalness of the feathers and down. At the end of the product lifecycle, the filling material can be composted without any problem.

Manufacturers using the Downafresh® label are committed to regularly inspecting their products for compliance with hygiene and purity requirements through an independent testing laboratory.
